I'm sorry for your friend Kris. Emphicema (SP?) sucks bigtime. I don't know anyone like that and yes I'm only 30 but nowhere near immortal. If I reach 70 and then die of cancer I'll be happy with my lot in life. I only smoke about 10 a day anyway. Its just pleasurable. If I cease to enjoy it I will stop. Same with booze.
