as it is now Mac has a very cute hardware and processor architecture...
much cuter than Intel has ever made...

well for Mac as an OS... i don't know who has begun to make aberrating OS programming if it is Bill Gates or Steve Jobs... but the fact remains it is aberrating!

why is windows (and if i remember well Mac at least until OS X that i don't know) writing something on your HD when you read a CD... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />
for the least it is useless... and so aberrating (as all that have no justification)... ok this is not a shot to Microshoft or Apple devs (no worst or better than many devs otherwise)... they have some contraints that may be justifying their "not to do" works... but it remains it is a "not to do" work!
if average user don't see it...well sorry...

for Barta's last argument... why do you think i've installed Windows? except for playing BD/DD... you may think that it was quite a cost for that but as a matter of fact it was not me paying it but the French Republic!

and try linux!

edit: actually what i truly mean is that if a student (or more realistic: a group of student) was coming with the windows or mac last release for an exam about OS development he will not have his exam because examiners will think he has not understood what is an OS... this is not funny but sadly true!
and it will not true for a linux project...
