death sentence is very much a tradition since past centuries. therefoer it must be upheld even if it is for only tradition's sake.
on the other hand, it is a sariledge to life & preserving life is a tradition held by communities around the world.
in a different angle, death sentence is a must. a right of way for those who are wronged & to preserve more lives, some may have to be sacrificed.
turning to another perspective however would one feel that everyone, despite whatever acts & events, has a right to live & none has the right to end any.
had anyone look closer, one would be inclined to demand for death sentence as it helps to curb crimes & keep criminals in check. implementations however is another matter.
to look at one side & not another is crime itself & therefore is it punishable by death sentence? definitely not, as forgiveness is in order & one should as anyone would.
to conclude, it is tradition. but on the other hand it is inhumane. while traditionally just, it is however in this day & age, a relic. & so true a tradition, humanity today will no longer keep.
