this debate is not a debate about english grammar (or i will be the first one to die!)... maybe another topic but... i'm not sure it is really a good idea to debate about that...

cleglaw i'm sorry to say i wish you hadn't picked all your examples in death sentence that were pronounced for religious reasons... is there not enough civil death sentences in this world? (in China, in the USA, and in some other lands)...
