(Bill Gates just doesn't want to hear about that and this is a pity because technical means for doing it exist)...
MASTER_GUROTH
MASTER_GUROTH
You are such a wonderful darling to chit chat with. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
But, how would you know that Billy doesn't want to hear about your above comment?
Did he tell you this directly from his own mouth?
Was he quoted directly from a reliable news source?
Or is this regular second hand knowledge from the A-Typical disgruntle employee that you may have read about, seen, or talked with…blah…blah…blah, that is upset with Billy or Microsoft in some way.
Billy’s a very smart Business man and like all smart business people they surround themselves with other smart business individuals.
Do you really think Billy does and looks at everything at Microsoft?
That would be insane and absolutely counter productive to his business empire.
The main reason why people are hired is because the owner is smart enough to know they can not do it all themselves.
No, I’m sure Billy is like most successful business people and has Heads / other people that he’s employed to carry out particular tasks required in his business. Besides, in a company as large as Microsoft Billy would have already put himself in a grave if he micromanaged it to death.
Also, in business you can’t do everything and you can’t make everyone happy. If that were the case then everyone would either totally love Microsoft or totally love Linux.
You comment that Microsoft has a monopoly and makes it very hard for Linux to succeed or any other OS to succeed.
You are quit correct, but you’re forgetting the fact that Microsoft was the very first to succeed in this field on such a grand scale.
Billy started Microsoft from nothing. Basically, no other OS stood in his way like Microsoft does OS's today.
You can’t expect the other OS’s to be given the same exact road to travel.
That would be ludicrous and business does not work that way.
They have a saying around the world in Big Business.
If you can’t hang with the big boys, step out of the ring.
I challenge you to study the success stories of all of the most financial successful business people and you will find they are not wishy-washy timid push over people.
They all have, at one time or another, stepped on toes to get to where they are.
That is a fact in Big Business and there is a 100% difference between just plain old business and Big Business. Big Business practices are the same in any country.
The only difference is the laws that one needs to dance around in order to succeed.
Also, Linux is starting to adapt Big Business practices. They are stepping up to the plate and soon, soon being relative; they will be a power like Microsoft. That is unless the Linux leaders do something stupid. If you don’t believe me look at their goals and business documents. They are slowly moving away from that freebie mentality. Otherwise they wouldn’t have done what they did with RedHat causing others in the company to continue it as Fedora. A name is just that, a name.
Why did I go into this business topic? Well a monopoly, which you have on several times plugged into your statements, is a business practice, hence the business direction of my comments.
Lastly, MASTER_GUROTH
I am not attacking you.
I love your topics and discussions.
You speak eloquently and I admire that greatly.
I am only tossing my thoughts and the fragments of gems known as knowledge into the mix of things.
Maybe someday MASTER_GUROTH, the world will put all of their gems together to finally see the whole gem of truth.
Take Care
