Books... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" /> Definitely more up my alley than euthanasia, abortion or Microsoft.

I don't think that paper based books will die in my lifetime, but they will continue to change direction a little perhaps.

TV was supposed to be going to kill the movie and radio, and it didn't do either. They did change however.

I love the look and feel of books - and even the smell of them. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif" alt="" /> I'd rather sit under a tree, or on the loo, or wherever, with a book than with some kind of electronic text reader pad. However, the one thing that I do miss in a paper book is the search engine. There's no doubt that it's great to be able to find whatever you want quickly.

Books/authors that I like:

Most humour.
Travel.
Popular Science (i.e. dumbed down enough for me to understand. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" /> )
Anything by Bill Bryson, P.J O'Rourke, Michael Bywater, Alan Coren, Eric Newby.... oh, more people that I can remember offhand really..
