The God fearing sects of people fear that this will become a domino effect. First stem cell and then actual clones, now it’s not the clones they fear. What they fear are people creating full humans only to harvest them for body parts. The questions remain, do these clones have a soul? Do they not have a right to life also?
Science sees a shell of flesh.
The religious sect sees a shell that holds a soul.
I can understand both sides. One to advance human life and the other to protect the rights of all souls.
The question that I think Womble really should have asked is: “Were is the balance between the two and how one would achieve this balance?”
