Hello, everyone.

I'd like to start a collection of so-called "Easter Eggs" in Beyond Divinity.

There are already acouple of threads, bit I'd like to have it compiled as a real list.

I hope that I can get many many entries here , but I rely on the help of the community.

I begin with Abbe and Edmond in the early beginning (Demo area), as a refernce to the Count of Monte Cristo.

Later, near to the doctor in the citadel, a guy named "Murray" claims that he's broken his neck - reminds me of Murray the evil, talking skull of Monkey Island III and IV .

Alrik.

The Vandals, tearing the spider web every night remind me of Penelopeia, the wife of Odysseus, who did the same with something she was weaving in order not to get it ever finished, because that meant that she ould have to marry someone, because her husband was lost.

I can't give any new easter egg but i can give a link to the topic Easter Egg Competition

[color:"yellow"]Riftrunner Interview with Marian Arnold
Myrthos, 2003-10-01

RPGDot: As there was a mention of Easter eggs in the chat - could you give one example, please?

Marian: Most people who know me close enough get sometimes anoyed by me being such a big Indiana jones fan. Check the very special super exclusive home photograph of me in front of my beloved pinball machine for proof! I don't want to spoil it but you can expect a big easteregg in that direction.

This is what i have found.
Do you mean that the great easter egg about Indiana is a myth ?

[color:"yellow"] Right below we again see the 3D-Model of the hero, this time with a special texture. Unfortunately this easteregg got lost in the trouble of the release, but Barnabus managed to manually hack it free in most parts.
Easter egg hero ?

Looking at the site i have found this lovely tiny animal.

In the great cave east of the Imp Village, where a *lot* of Water Elementals reside, there is an Imp. He insists on a treasure being his ("mine, mine"), which reminds me of Gollum. But, different to Gollum, he shares his treasure if you give him the choice to do so.

@Barta : Could it be that this was intended as a "Set" ?

By the way, the animal is an "Guinea Pig", I think that 's the English name. In German it's an "Meerschweinchen".

@ Alrik
I don't understand your question !
In french "Guinea Pig" is named "Cochon d'Inde" or "Cobaye".
A lot of these nice little animals are used for experiments in laboratories.

With "Set" I mean a collection of items - a complete armor consiting of helmet, shoes, breatplate etc. .

If I'd collect several items fittin together, the hero would look indeed like Indy.

Well, I haven't found anything that looks like Indy so far ... but I've seen several hats.

Apart from that, I've found a few items belonging to different sets.

The most funny thing are imho the donkey ears !

As Marian said, you can't find Indy in the game. But I know Barnabus was able, after a lot of tries, to get parts of it working. You will have to ask him for any details on the matter.

I don't think that there is a complete set about Indy in the game.
But it is a good idea for another game.

The larians could choose a well known character, male or female, and create a set of items in the game for dressing him or her.
And give a lot of XP points when the gamer has got the whole set.
A kind of "dragon armor set".

The initial idea was to unlock the hero in this Indy-Outfit when the Player types in "Indy" as his name.
Unfortunately Ike was so overworked he couldn't find the time for it when programming the character selection screen. But the outfit is in the game when you change some ini-files he might appear like this in game or character selection screen.

Maybe something for a new patch? Along with lockpick?

Is Larian even working on a new patch? not that I mind if not.

I'm still waiting for the "Last Patch" for .

Yes, I'd like to see that in a new Patch ... however, I fear that this might also cause prpblems with the copy-protection, because everything must have a pecial size (as fas as I understood it).

Please close or delete this thread. With the Strategy Guide it isn't needed anymore and won't ever be completed, I think.

NO !
First : the strategy guide is not released.
Second : everybody will not get the strategy guide.
Third : who knows if all the easter eggs are listed in the strategy guide ?
