You can download the 10MB patch on a different computer to transfer to your own, but a CD-RW disk or USB key drive would be much easier than using floppies. If floppies are your only option, you can use a physical file splitter, such as
Chainsaw, to divide the patch into about 8 floppy sized pieces.
It is the final hit that matters when killing the Demon of Lies, so you could simply try again using fewer scorpions, save when his hit points get low, and try to land the last blow yourself.
Alternately, you could use
iZakaroN's SaveEditor (or from
Kiya's site, with description) to boost your character enough to kill the DoL without requiring scorpions. The save editor is only 110KB, so could be easily transferred by floppy. If you are going to replay DD, I would still try to get the patch, though.
