Erm... right (mutter mutter mutter)... But since we're talking about a monk/RDD/Sorc I whant a little help in placeing points on a monk/RDD/Sorc, since you need a little strenght, for dmg and hitting, you need dex for AC, you need conc for HP, you need wis for AC, you need cha since you're supposed to be a sorc too (and what spells do you suggest to take, when doing some skillplanning in the HoU exp, I only picked protectionspells, but you speaked of dmg, so a little tips here). And a little int for some extra skillpoints wouldn't hurt either, so now you need: Str, Dex, Con, Wis, Cha and a little Int. It feels like you're spreading a too small amount of butter on a too big sandwich, to be honest, and it allso feel like it's pretty vital, since it affects not just gameplay, but feats too (do yiou need a feat like devastateing chritticals? Since it needs 25+ str). And THAT was what I really asked for.

Update on how i'm doing, and by the way it'll be slow progress for me, not too many hours at a time i can afford <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/disagree.gif" alt="" />,
I just cleared the 3rd tomb for that guy back a with the tasty chick, i had to defeat 4 swords all swishing away at me...poor old Tomi didn't stand a chance but i managed to do it with the aid of some potions to keep my health up.
I am about to enter the Rumbottom Estate and have a rummage around in there, but i'm making my way to see some Wizard called Meldanen for my major quest.

hmm, to tell you the truth I have never used Dev Crit in a singleplayer only on PW's and I found that most of the time the Dev Crit Bug was there ( do a devastating Critical> monster dies >no XP ) so I have basicly thrown that in the bin of not worth it, dont get me wrong it worked beautifully as long as I didnt care about the XP loss and since I was lvl 40 anyway it didn't matter, that said IMHO it was a waste of feats you need stuff like mobility (pretty useless) built you BASE STR (unmodified) up to 25 Bah no thanks better things then that to get, oh and inregards to the Sorc lvls, sure I only used them for protection, in the case of the Monk/Sorc/RDD example, I mean you could take bard instead, it is only there to get to the RDD lvls and thus get all the ability bonuses, and the few extra feats, it is just that with my character I was not really worried about the rogue and Song abilities that are available as a Bard, and with a Sorc at least you get too use the spells you need and use the full complement instead of being stuck with Identification or something else <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

@Womble I am sure you are theoretically right and I am not even gonna think about debating with you <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> (learned that lesson in the Git thread <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> ) but the way My character turned out .... well of the 50-60 players on the world I play ... no-one can beat me <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

So, basicly, you don't need the sorc lvls, you just take them afterwards for some spells (you could go something like RDD 10/ Sorc 1/ Monk X)? And you said mobility is pretty useless. I've already taken that feat.
Any tips on feats to take? (and about dev chrits, I discovered you got a simmiular feat for free with the monk (called... let's see *checking manual*... Quivering Palm. As far as I saw it, it looked pretty much the same).)

PS is toughness worth the the takeing. I know this question will delay the shooting of my next char, since you sould take it at lvl 1, or not at all DS

And any tips on who to pick as your henchman?

Well my favorite Henchman was Tom, for I liked havin a good thief who could open and disarm traps. As he gains levels he is not a bad fighter if keep him close to ya. If let him run off ahead then he gets himself into trouble alot.

I think deekin is a nice henchman(even more with all his nice questions) and Aribeth too - but is too easy for Aribeth to betray you - so you have to got her true name.

I played a hundred of times and made some chars to me.
I like to use a lot my BlackWhipMaster.
To build it you must have the 2exps SoU and HotU. It has been a good time when i played the last time.

The othe character what i like to use to much is the Palemaster.
And finally the Kama monk with some assassin and shadowdancer skills.

A good PVP character doesnt mean a good game world character.Ive built many deadly PVP characters, but when partying up or soloing the servers, they stunk.On the other hand ive built characters around the servers ive played on to be successfull with that server but they stunk at PVP fighting.Infact the best PVP character ive ever built was really awful in party situations on servers.

Still no good replies on how to place my main abilities... Nor no feat tips... Where is everybody? It's getting lonley here <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/disagree.gif" alt="" />.

UB: Some small tips if they'll be any help.

I took Linu as a henchman (woman). She survives most of the time. Tomi is OK too.

My starting feats for my sorc/monk/RDD I can't remember. I'll look it up.

Stats were STR 16
DEX 14
CON 14
INT 10
WIS 10
CHA 12 (Human)

As you can see I didn't go for monk abilities with low WIS. The monk is pretty much there to give attacks per round.

At levels 4 and 8 add to STR then add to DEX to increase unarmed armour.

Important feats are unarmed (or kama) focus, great cleave (you'll get cleave from monk level one) and the other pre-requisites to dev critical. Make this your focus. Along the way you should fit in Empower spell too. It will give you more forceful buffing spells.

Acually, I'm planning on takeing over that place, and since I'm a RDD, I will beat you (yes, I went back to my Fighter/RDD. I'm soon lvl 7, which meens +2 str).

hmm yup I agree with Womble, Linu is a great help as a healer and a half decent fighter as long as you keep her on ranged weapons, she is also Bluddy Hilarious in conversation (Note to speick YOU will love her)

hmm in regards to you ability increase being a Fighter/RDD yuou wont really need to focus on str as you get plenty from the rdd class so I suggest Dex and INT, Dex for defense purposes and INT for the skillpoint increase <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

Actually I will just amend my stats a bit:

STR 15 (8)
DEX 14 (6)
CON 14 (6)
INT 10 (2)
WIS 10 (2)
CHA 14 (6)

The CHA will get you level 4 spells which are good empowered buffs. STR can be increased by 2 to get to 25 by RDD 10. I just prefer to make it 26 for the extra +1 modifier.

I leveled up to 20 as monk 4/RDD 8/sorc 8. Max RDD to 10 after level 20 and you get 5 attacks per round before 20.

As for the fighter/RDD model, I prefer half-orc. This was actually Barb/Bard/RDD.
Stats start something like this:

STR 16 (6)
DEX 14 (6)
CON 14 (6)
WIS 10 (2)
INT 10 (4)
CHA 12 (6)

Figures in brackets are the starting stat points allocated.

By lvl 20 you can have +16 BAB (Essential for 4 attacks per round) by going Bard 2/Barb 8/RDD 10. Take the last bard level at 20 and max out tumble/Use Magic Device skills. The only really other essential skill is Discipline.

If you want to use fighter then pick another race, Human is the best for multi-classing like this. Start with STR 15/CHA 14. RDD will give you the CHA bonus for lvl 6 bard spells. Or you can screw the spells and go with STR 16/CHA 10.

With the dwarf preferred fighter class you could have a total tank!

What did they do in patch 1.64?

The last time I played was with patch 1.62 and now while using patch 1.64 the baddies pretty much bypass my summons and familiar and focus on me all of the time now!!!

I tell you I haven’t done so much running since I first started playing on v1.22.

I’m playing solo and I’ve finished the Docks Dist and I’m almost done with the Peninsula Dist.
My character is a 1-Paladin / 5-Sorcerer so far.

Womble any ideas?
