I will warn you: A LIVE Internet connection is needed to play even Premium Single Player modules for it copyright protection check. Check this thread out, which discusses this:

When I read that I was really shocked. I couldn't believe you were going to have to be connected to the internet every time you wanted to play or load one of the premium mods. I know they are concerned about priacy, but this is ridiculious and especially if you are on dial-up. Who wants to have to dial in every time you want to play a game just so they can do an copyright check.

I don't like it either.

I know companies are concerned about priacy, and they have a right to be. There should have been a way for them to protect their mods without having you to connect to the internet every time you start one of them though. What about people who don't have an internet connection, but could buy and download the mod from someone else's computer and then install it on theirs. That knocks them out completely from playing them.

I don't think Bioware thought this through very good.

Looks like your friend purchase it on another's machine, but it must be purchased under THEIR Bioware screen-name. Then, they can DL it on other machines and burn it.

1.07: Can I give the module to a friend who has purchased the game but has a slow connection and is concerned about downloading a large file? (Back to Top)

Yes, the module download is the same for everyone, so your friend can download the module at another machine, or if you have also purchased it you can share your download.

Please Note: the module must be purchased with the same username and CD Key it will be played with. In other words, if you wish to purchase a module for your friend you must use your friend's Neverwinter Nights CD Key or the module will not work on your friend's computer.
