Now you need to start a whole new character and play SoU.
I don't know why most people like HoTU over SoU.
I think SoU is so much better.
Mainly; because, the balance is better in SoU.
SoU will keep you sweating almost all through the game.
Whereas in HoTU you can become a bit over powered and just breeze through it.

Don't get me wrong...I love HoTU.
The interactions in HoTU is what make it soooooo good. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />
I just like SoU more. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Oh, and that girls name is Asheera.
She is from Sahaladar on Azallah.
She looks like Aribeth, but she didn't fall to the deciet in dream like Aribeth did.

she is aribeth in a parallel universe, had aribeth taken the "good" road. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

while i agree that it's easy to be overpowering in hotu, i still think sou is a bit lacking. though i like the better focus and story of sou over the oc and the tougher fights, it can never compare to the goodies, the bells and the whistles that hotu brought along.

sou is suppposed to be an expansion. as an expansion, sou should be better than the original. there were no good items (well, maybe a few), the prestige classes are nothing to write home about (assassins & harper scouts are near damn useless), and there were no very good feats to take that would make you replay the expansion. the good items were things i can't afford. gold was just so scarce in that game. iirc, the circle kick monk feat was very bugged it got to the point of annoying. as i like playing monks, stopping his attack once he launched a circle kick was just plain irritating. the shadow area (forgot the complete name of that place in the last chapter) was just so damn slow it's like the matrix.

of course kyra, these are just my own personal gripes on the game and not directed at you at all. cheers! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
