Point is, you need at least 1 level of rogue to place points in use magic device. So save some points up to dump in and maximise it at a higher level. Tumble can be taken as a cross-class skill but is so much better if you max it out. (+1 AC every five levels plus the chance to run away from combat and not get hit)

Short note on use magic device: this will let you wear all the cool monk robes, boots and should you desire, gloves. It will let you use cleric-only healing staves,scrolls and so on. Its pretty neat.

Also rogue 4/wiz 16 (BAB=11) will give you 3 attacks per round whereas a pure wiz (BAB=10) will only get 2.
