But the story/characterinteraction is just outclassed by PS:T . And I want characterinteraction and story in my RPGs . That's why I rarelly find any games I like .

I'm sure I MIGHT want to play this game again yes . Why?

I was looking for a site that would help with character builds. I think the site above is pretty good in letting you know about the classes. It doesn't tell you exactly what to do, as the choice should be up to the player.

I just like that there are small charts showing you some of the choices that could be made for playing a character different ways.

The reason I'm thinking of starting again is acually this build . It contains all the classes I allways wanted (weapond master AND dragon diciple ). But then again, I'll have to gather the courage to ssk my brother, and then collect the time necesary...

BtW what happened to Tsel ????

Well, I can reassure you that he's somewhere out there, where no Larian has gone before.

I see him every now and then.

Read carefully .. I only say it once more, there are thousands of Modules avaible on the nwn vault, and quite a few are very character orientated with so much RP that you wonder why you are inside the game instead of your chair ... look search and thou shall find!

That build is way out of my league. I also have an older computer, so I will only be playing the gold edition. Going to try a druid for my first time through and will most likely make some mistakes. I'm hoping that an animal companion, along with the form and shape changing abilities will help me survive.

Unless I choose the spider as a companion.

I changed my mind.

I'm going to use a build also. There are just so many choices, I feel I will get spun around in the game. An author did a good write up for a druid-archer, so I think I will go with that. Plus the person liked the hawk for a pet, even though it doesn't do much damage.

A druid-archer with a hawk companion sounds honest and challenging. If I find myself getting in trouble, I could always go with the bear.

I know this build sounds normal and boring because of all the choices. Then again, you start as a fighter and a dwarf is the recommended race. That's what makes Neverwinter Nights so cool, right? Because personally I would have went with a half elf and used some sorcery.

When you don't know what you are doing, you really don't know if you are doing something wrong.

Anyways, here is the build... http://nwvault.ign.com/?dir=thegame/classes&content=Druid-Archer

The Neverwinter Vault thats where they are at Nero
Look for a link that says Hall of Fame modules, or search for the builders by name Like Adam Miller or Bruce Nielson

I'm still trying to learn the game myself, but in your sub directory there is a modules folder.

Now that I look at it closer, the gold edition seems to have eight extra mods included. There are only text files for three of them, giving brief information.

hmm well it depends on the module you download, some require hakpacks (this is not as bad as it sounds ) these are named that way by Bioware and are basicly community custom made content, having said that read the whole page on the vault to see if it requires hakpacks, and if you are on a dial up Internet connection it may be worth it to check the size of the hakpack as they can be anywhere from 5 to 20 Megabytes, ok most good modules come with a readme text explaining where to put things, ( like Hakpacks in the Hak folder of your NWN directory (typically C:\program files\Neverwinter\NWN\Hak)
Module files with the extension of ">mod" go into the Module folder and ".mus" go into the Music folder etc etc

But like I said read everything properly, before you get too excited to play and forget something, like most modules these days require at least expansion 1 & 2 (SoU & HotU) and some even require the CEP 1.52 Hak which is also available from the vault (just do a search for CEP)

Once you have this done 1 time you get the hang of it and it is a piece of cake, Bioware really tried to make it easy for the community to make new modules and how to install them

If you have more question please feel free to ask, I drop by here at least once a day

***** Apologies to all Larianites for using their forum for advise on another Game ****

Hi, I am new to the Chat section. When I first signed up, my high school had a block on "Chat Rooms".

I am having a problem with the quest where I have to find the Artwork in the town of Neverwinter. I have all but one of the Art pieces and I can't find the last one. I have entered every building and there is one that I can't enter. I am not afraid of spoilers. So please just give me the answer. Thanks in advance.

heh here you go ....

Spoiler : The Moonstone Mask is run by a woman named Ophala Cheldarstorn, who, if you're a Rogue (or make a successful persuasion check), will ask you to "liberate" a few pieces of art - a statuette from Lord Androd Golden (in the Docks district), a portrait from Lord Thoms Rumbottom (in the Blacklake district), and an urn from a man named Hodge (also in the Blacklake district). When you return each art object, you will receive 125 experience and 400 gold pieces.
And in case you want some more help go here !

Has anyone looked at Never Winter Nights II? Looks like it will be worth a look at!

I just got NWN Diamond! It includes all the first NWN games:
Neverwinter Nights
Shadows of Undrentide (expansion pack)
Hordes of the Undark (expansion pack)
Kingmaker (expansion pack)

And Kingmaker is three parts in itself:
Kingmaker
ShadowGuard
Witch's Wake

So I got like, 6 games for 29.99$ Canadian.

At Best Buy.

Good deal.

Unfortunately, I'm currently playing too much of other games so I won't be able to start these.

Can't wait 'till I do.

Killerzzz

Wow!!! Considering I asked the question. Does anyone play NwN's? How it has grown to over 30 odd pages.

I'm impressed.

Oh yes I have been playing NWN non-stop since its origin, at first the OC, then various Mods, and eventually got hooked to a server (little hint here) Alboria: The Bottled World which you can find on direct connect > alboria.dynu.com or PW action > alboria (OK sorry BIG hint )
