Hey all!

I searched the forum but couldn't find a way to increase the font size and the relative size of what's on the screen. It's barely readable as far as text goes and the interface for inventory can be barely clicked on. Buttons are so small.

All I want is a high rez to see a lot of the world but I still want the interface to be usable. Even 1280x960 is so-so.

Except for that, I don't have any problems w/ BD. As of yet.

Unfortunately there is no way to change the text or inventory screen size. I manually edited the config.div file to play at 1152x864.

hrrrmmm...

Oh well, 1024x768 isn't that bad.

Is it me or the corrupt save game was supposed to be only on DD? It seems that if I want to overwrite a save game, lots of time it'll be corrupt. If a resave using a different name it works fine. That's VERY annoying Why not delete all files and make new ones, just keep the dir name.

I also noticed a lot of polishing bugs but I don't think Larian would be interested to know those at that point in time. Those should've been noticed during alpha/beta. Oh well.

As for the rest, not too many problems. I'll try to keep the thread updated and if anyone comes up with a way to fix the fonts/UI let it be known!

The game saves to a temporary folder first (with a .tmp extension) in case there is a problem during the save process (bug, power failure...), rather than delete a presumably working save. Once that finishes, IIRC it should delete the old save and copy the files from the .tmp folder (I used the freeware program Filemon to check the save procedure some time ago).

A few other people have run into this problem. One fixed it by updating their BIOS, another just stuck to quicksaves to avoid it.

I don't think flashing the BIOS would fix anything on my side. There's no more updates As for quicksaves, it blew one off too... I'm not sure I should use QS at all since then... I wasn't too sure if it would work after that. Fortunately it did. Honestly, I do use it once in a while but it's more when I want to save very often in a particular area.

Anyway... Can't wait to get off work and continue to play. I have to admit that since I'm back at a readable font size (w/ 1024x768) I have fun playing.
