This is the Text from the JoWooD press-news:
"JoWooD Productions continues its successful cooperation with the German developer Piranha Bytes by publishing one of the most spectacular titles of the coming year: Gothic III, the third part of the legendary RPG saga. "Being listed in all major 'most wanted' charts across Europe, Gothic III is the top title of the coming year. To publish a game with such popularity, potential and quality, is a great chance for us to push a world-wide known brand even further" ,comments Andreas Tobler, CEO of JoWooD Productions Software AG. JoWooD Productions takes this chance and will try to break RPG selling records of the past!

"Our main efforts are to increase quality, atmosphere and fascination in Gothic III, to deliver an unbeatable RPG experience to all the Gothic fans out there. But even with all the improvements and innovations, we continue to build upon the unique concept of the Gothic titles", promises Mike Hoge, developer Piranha Bytes.

In 2002, JoWooD Productions managed to establish Gothic II as known brand in the RPG world. Gothic II dominated the sales charts with weeks at the top and is one of the best-selling titles ever created in German territories. The success is also proven by dozens of awards like "Best RPG 2002", "Best of E3 Show", "Best of Games Convention" and incredible ratings worldwide."

Yes, I read about this 2 days ago and it is very good news. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/up.gif" alt="" />

It made me very happy to see so many new quality games are coming out for 2005.
Now can my pocket book handle it? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

A completely localized version of Gothic II has finally been released in Italy.
According to RPGDot the Addon "Night of the Raven" will be released as a localized version under the name "La Notte del Corvo" in April.

Also France will get an (English) Gothic II version with French subtitles on March 25 published by Bigben Interactive. The Add-on and the Gold Edition will follow later this year.

RPGDot also reports about an English version of Gothic II with Spanish subtitels that will be released on February 20 or March 11 by Nobilis Iberica. They also mentioned they want to ship "Night of the Raven" later this year.

What do the Canadian need?
An english Version, or? Maybe some parts need a france version.
But i think the English Version with Subtitle (you can play without Subtitle) can be imported.

The same like before, insert Values for 0 - 7. To see what Line is stand for what, try different Values and look at your Stats Screen. I dont have them all in my Head now.

This is an Help with which you can make your Char just a little bit Stronger, without beeing a God. I think with this is the Fun of the Game not damaged.
It is your Choice, how large is the Help you want.

You can give in - Cheat God - and you will never Die. (a little Boring after all, i can say)

Or, you type (in Game without the console, but you must enable the Cheats with b,marvin,b before) the F8 Key, that will restore your Life and Manapoints. and it can be used as a way to Travel (just Try).
This will work in every Time, no different if your Char is dead or not.
But after your Char is dead, he will have a Face like a zombie. Just Save, and reload.
Then he have his normal Face back.

Ok, a little strategic advise

First, and importand, keep cool.
Save often and early, and everything will be fine.
Most of the Enemys (not skeletons of every kind, and Goblins) will have a special tactik to attack you.
So if you watch them, you will see the best moment to Hit them. For the other Time it is usefull to move the Weapon with a rythem from left to right and back again.
Dont attack in the beginning, let the enemys attack.

To flee, is a part of the Gamestrategie. You can hit an Enemy, run away, come back and hit again. The Enemys will maybe follow you a while, but not so far away.
So drink a Potion if you need one, and go back again.

Some enemys will have Potions too, normaly Humans and Orks, so these Enemys will maybe get new Hitpoint too,. But the have mostly only one Potion and a little Stuff to eat. So you can kill them, if you have a little patience.

Use Trees, where you can Climb on, and Rocks.
So you can shoot them with a Bow, and they cant reach you, but be carefull, Orks are bigger than you. And they can Climb too.

If there some special Questions, so post it here please, and i will try to answer.

My <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beyond.gif" alt="" /> game is broken..... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/puppyeyes.gif" alt="" /> Wahhhhh, wahhhhh, wahhhhh.....

So I ran across this copy of Gothic....the first one...and low and behold.......
i chance across this thread.....just in time..... because all i know how to do is run into the blue lightening and get killed! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

I'm playing G1 at the moment - it is a very balanced and difficult game, which I like!! You have to really think about where to allocate skill points.

I've been in a number of situations where I was unable to take out an enemy to advance the plot - this meant gaining more experience buy killing things so I could buy items/training before I could go back and take them out.

The only negative for me so far is the amount of travelling required between the 3 camps.
