factually this is not really true as a number of gamers here have been through the game without entering the BFs in hardcore setting (and without cheating)...

also if i understand well you have just finished Act 1... not the more passionating part in the game (sorry if i misunderstood)... it begins to be more interesting afterthat though... true even there is still always something like a linearity for the main plot quests...
