Hi all. To add to Rythok's post, you can be penalized up to 60% on death penalties. Also, as a Ranger, if your pet dies, you will recieve a 15%DP. I recieved gobs of DP from my Kitty jumping into the midst of a mob and getting dead. You regain life %'s by killing enemies. Currently, Arena Net is working on the pets not being so stupid as to attack whatever they feel like attacking. Same goes for hired minions,atacking and bringing mobs (trains)to your group that you are not prepared to face. I hope they get it worked out by next WE.
