well, personally I believe that releasing a beta-patch is just a new mood - many developers comply to that mood, but since it's still beta, I wouldn't expect too much from that - or even worse Beta always means much less stability - wghich many people seem to "forget".
Usually if the Beta goes well, that could become the next patch, right?
