I havn't finnished it yet, I've finnished Rabel though, and had just got to some kind of new dimension (right after the dragon skelleton, or what ever it was. The guy in the skelly was fun though (YEAH, JUST TAKE MY LAST SCROLL OF RAIN OR BLADES AND LEAVE ME DEFENCELESS, DO THAT, DO THAT...)). Then I realized I had invested too much in int and wis, so I had to restart... I tied a fighter, wich was kind of useless. And it wasn't fun anymore, it was just pain trying to get back to were I was before, knowing exactly what everybody was going to say . It all was great the first time though...
Übereil The skeleton home of Fhjull Forked Tongue. You're right he was funny. Why would you think that you had invested to much in Int and Wis? They are both very important in Planescape. They both will open up alot more options for you. Also wisdom adds extra experience points and helps you levelup faster. I think wisdom is the most important stat in Planescape. I poured points into Int and Wis and never regreted it. I think Chrisma was my next highest stat. If you still have a save, you should just pick up where you left off with your first character and go on. Shantara

Hey, MysterD, what stat did you feel was most important? Wisdom was in my book because it helped me get extra XP and I like that. I also thought it and Int helped me in regaining memories faster.
Also what stats did you put your skill points into mostly?

Shantara I think I dumped most of it into Intelligence and Wisdom, first time around. Second time around, I think I went w/ Strength.

Erm... I saved over it...
And I had allready maximised Int when I got the +2 bonus on int from being a wizzard. That's what I'm talking about. Mastering the Ps: T char system shouldn't be so hard, since that's about the only mistace you can do...

I was afraid you were going to say that. Do you have any saves at all from your first game?
I really think you were on the right track with your first character. Just because you had already maxed out your Int wouldn't have mattered. Int is very important in the game for more reasons than one. You could have started working on building Wisdom to the max and raising your Chrisma. These are two other very important stats to Planescape characters.
Most RPG's seem to use Strength, Dex, and Constitution as their main stats, but to me Planescape's focus was on Wisdom, Int, and Chrisma in that order. Another thing that made Planescape unique in my book.

PS:T is, for me, the best CRPG of all time. I loved the characters, the level of plotting and character detail - everything. The only minor annoyance is that there is no way to read Grace's diary - but the fact that I really WANT to says everything about how interesting she is as a character.
My first time through I thugged it, basically. High stats in all the physical skills and beat a path.
Second time, I went with mental skills and pretty much charmed/talked through.
You can finish the game quite happily usng any combination of character skills you like - it really is that flexible, which is another reason to love it.
There are enough different types of party member available that you can play Nameless quite happily as any of his three classes - and every single party member you meet is a person in their own right, with their own attitudes, feelings and back history. And they even talk to each other. How cool is that?
Every one of your character's characteristics has a direct effect on how he interacts with others, so they are all important.
As you can imagine, I've played it through a few times

Another reason why I found Planescape so cool and liked it so much. The interaction between the characters was awesome. Seems like in alot of ways Planescape was ahead of its time. Agree. Ps: T is one of the few games with huge parties I like, since you don't just notice one or two characters (or as it is in ID II, you doesn't notice ANYONE of them...). You notice them all (more or less...). It's pretty fun to listen to Morte and Anna being pissed at eachother sometimes, and I allso like it when Anna get jelous when you pick up Grace . Every time I tried to strike up a loveaffair between Namless One and Anna btw... (Never got far enough though )

I created these Morte NWN pics, if anyone wants to download and use them in their NWN game. Just download the zip file and then extract all 5 tga pics into the NWN portraits folder. Start a brand new game, create a new character, and the Morte pics will be a portrait selection option. Morte NWN Portraits Fafnir

Shantara - I'd honestly say that PS:T is still the most advanced CRPG ever because it is the only game so far to involve actual role playing, in that your character is allowed to be the kind of person you want him to be and is not forced along one preferred path. It's certainly the closest to an actual pen and paper RPG I've ever seen.
Which is a long-winded way of saying I agree with you
***
Ubereil - You had Grace in the party and were chasing Annah? Really? I'm afraid for me it was more a case of 'Annah who?'

(Never got far enough though ) Ubereil, what was it about Annah that you liked? Why the try for the love affair between the Nameless One and Annah instead of the Nameless One and Grace? Here's a question for anybody?
What characters did you think the most interesting in Planescape and why?

Shantara That's easy, Shantara! Just waffle on for at least six sentences more than you need to, and you will have caught my style exactly!

I like them all, but the most interesting other than Nameless himself is Grace, IMO, followed closely by Morte.
Grace has to be completely unique in that she is a CE creature by birth and instinct, yet she has transcended herself. Fallen angels are ten a penny, but Grace is a risen demon. Add in the fact that she is the cleverest character and capable of genuine insight... Then add the extremely lady-like personality and that beautiful voice they give her... Grace gets my vote easily. The alignment may say LN, but I don't think there's any doubt she's really LG.
Morte is not only the comic relief. His personal history is interesting and rather tragic, and his loyalty is total, even though he really has no good reason for it. Anything he may have done in the past has long since been expiated, but he just can't bring himself to believe it...
Those are my two top favourites. After that it gets tricky

The most interesting charracterin the game is The Nameless One (too obvious, right?). Why? Because the whole main story is based around him. As simple as that.
Why Anna and not Grace? Maybe because I've allways (well, at least whan I was younger...) been teased because I was ugly, right or not. You could then choose between thinking that you're ugly and be sad, and thinking that you're ugly but think that it's allright since it's what's inside that counts. And I met (thake the fact that I use the word met as a proof of Ps: T being a really good game...) Anna first, she had attitude and her blood started to boil when I (another proof that it's a good game...) kissed her. And allso the fact that I didn't abandon her when I met someone like Grace, that our love (or whatever...) survived the test was something I liked... And Grace was a bit too (what word?) morally good (well I wouldn't take that of since I takit of, well.. acually, never...). Not good for the imagination, if you get my point...

I must admit, I was never interested in Annah in the first place, so the issue of ditching one for the other never came up
In real life, I tend to prefer 'good girls' to 'bad girls' - so I guess that just translated across

The alignment may say LN, but I don't think there's any doubt she's really LG. I loved Grace. Grace & Nathyrra (of HOTU) are example of great characters that have an in-born natures of evil, yet struggle to try and be good-natured characters. Grace is a succubus that runs a brothel -- but a brothel full of stimulating conversations! Nathyrra of HOTU is a drow, considered evil, yet she found Elisatrae. You could kiss Annah, but could you actually kiss Grace? I'm sure the Nameless One might be the only PERSON who could return from the kiss of a succubus, since he is immortal! I loved Grace's voice -- Jennifer Hale rocked. I believe from what I heard, Jennifer Hale was the voice of Bastilla in SW:KOTOR (which I have not installed yet). Anyone know if that was true? Oh yeah -- Sheena Easton, the former singing icon, was cool as Annah. I liked Annah -- she was just fiesty. I loved when she said "Pike off!"
