I still had Planescape installed on my computer and I am starting a new game over

After spending so much time talking about it and hearing some of the things
Elliot had to say, I've just got to give it another run through.

Ubereil, how about posting what you do and how things go? Maybe we can compare

don't know if I found it before or not. (Probably not)

Yes, I just started a new game yesterday.
I didn't bother getting stitched up in a disguise.

That's OK though, I play slower than anybody else so if you find any good stuff

How does this sound with everybody. Let's make regular posts to the thread to let
everybody know where we are. If we find anything new or interesting to us, let's
post it so we can share. Doesn't matter what it is if it is interesting to you
it is worth sharing.

Also I would love to know where you are when you reach a new level. It would also
be interesting to me to know how you are building your character, where you are
putting your skill points and what your stats are at different level.

Anybody else have anything that they would like to see the rest of us tell about?

I am just starting so I am a level 1 fighter with an 18 wis and 15 int, cha 12,
and the rest are 10.

OK, here is one for me.

I noticed the character detail to a certain extent the first time I playes
Planescape, but this time I am picking up on it alot more.

The way the characters are described in Planescape is very good. Dhall for
example. The picture they paint of him is so very good. When you read the
description I can really picture him sitting there in the mortuary talking to
the Nameless One. Even the zombies have such real descriptions to them. It is
as if the developers took special care with almost every character they put into
the game to make them as real as possible.

Oh well, just something that hit me even harder this time and I thought I would
mention it.

Restore Pack

This is three separate downloads that restores the files that have always been in the game to finally be used.
Black Isle didn't implement them so Team Planescape Vengeance did.

I would also go here Sorcerer's Place and download the "The Candlestick Quest fix".

Final Note: You do not need to install the official 1.1 patch if you are playing with the 2 CD version of the game. Only those playing with the 4 CD version need to install the official 1.1 patch.

Oh, the only reason why I ran from the Dustmen and I didn’t get sutured into a disguise was; because, I didn’t want to crawl at a snails pace in the mortuary.

Nobody said you had to get sutured or run from the dustmen. You could have just
talked to them and they would have left you alone or at least they did me the
first time i played.

Shantara - I run from the Dustmen in the Mortuary, too. I usually get the alarm bell ringing and everything trying to kill me if I don't...

Yes, you would have to start a new game or it could cause something not to
work right. I don't know whether you would want to start over again or just
play on the way your game is now.

I already had some kind of patch on my game (have no idea what). I did not have
the Restoration Patches like what Fafnir mentioned. I don't know if I had the
one Elliot mentioned or not.

All I know is that I downloaded everything and tried patching my game and now I
have a mess. I am going to have to uninstall and clean everything up and try it
again. I'm just glad I wasn't very far into the game.

Elliot, do you do that to gain more experience by killing all of the dustmen in
the mortuary?

Ragpicker's square, I loved that area.

I try not to set off any alarms at all, so I run away from any Dustmen to ensure I don't have to speak with them. Killing them all isn't worth much EXP, and there is one zombie specifically that seems to stay mad even when everyone else is reset - and it's the worst one.

Also, there are definite advantages to being LG in this game, and I don't think wanton slaughter helps much <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

I've never been lawfull good in this game... I'm neutral good for the momnet, and will probably stay that whay for ever and ever and ever and ever and ever... And ever and ever and ever.

A question: Just met up with Dheionnara for the first time, and got raise death... When do you get the Tale from beyondthing again? Is it from Stale Mary?
(The great thing with not playing it for a while is that you don't remember everything <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />.)
