I went through to grab Grace fast, as usual. Now I'm heading back down into the catacombs to get the decent punch daggers for Annah from the Mosaic Crypt and to raid Pharod's store
I'm also maging this time. At least for now
Shantara - thanks for the tips on Dustman handling

Anyone knows how to speak with Dak'kon? It's not just a little annoying when you try to speak to him without a result. (Speak to Dak'kon. What? Nothing happens? Well, I must have done something wrong... Well, speak to Dak'kon... Nothing again? Speak to Dak'kon... SPEAK to Dak'kon. SPEAK TO DAK'KON!!! WHY DOESN'T ANYTHING HAPPEN???)

Übereil You've probably already tried this, but this is the way I've always talked to anyone in my party. Right click on area to bring up options menu. Click on initiate dialogue box. Right click area again to close options menu. Then left click inside the circe of the one I want to talk to. This is the only way I have ever initated a conversation with any of the party members. If this isn't working for you then I can't imagine what is going on unless you are somewhere he has nothing to say, but I don't know where that would be. That IS what I did. Anywhay, I restarted the game, and then it worked tip-top. Running through the Tenderment of thugs for the moment... I'm effective, don't you think?

Übereil I think you're doing great. Just keep going. Glad the restart worked. Sounds like something must have hung. Glad it is hung no more. I'm just now ready for the first floor of the Mortuary. Haven't had much time to play today. Hope to pick it back up tonight. What do you think of the game so far? Shantara

Übereil...
That was a definite bug. There is NO place in the game where you cannot speak to any member of your party unless they are dead or otherwise incapable.

Ok, I just finished the Mortuary and I am headed into the Hive (at last).
I didn't find anything new to me in the Mortuary. Using the path I took with the other Dustmen, I was able to get Soego to let me out the front door. (500xp)
I didn't go out the front door after he unlocked it though. I went back around to the portal and went out that way. I then went back around to the front door, told the guard I need to enter to see someone and her let me pass.
Off to explore the Hive. Wonder what I will find new there this time.
Almost forgot. Nameless One is now level 4 with the following stats Int=15, Dex=10, Cha=13, Str=10, Wis=18, and Con=10. Still haven't decided what class he will be though. His alignment is still true neutral.

I played PS:T for a few minutes. I am in The Outlands --- just spoke to the Tongue-Forked Demon, who told me to go to The Pillar of Skulls.

OK, I know I'm late in noticing things, but has anyone else noticed the bug shadow on the ground from the tower that Annah is standing by? I had never paid attention to this before. I thought it was cool since they called the area The Hive.

Shantara I know you speaking to him, but I want to tell you some of my stats, which I Recall -- I don't remember of them all. Strength = 19 Wisdom = 18 I believe my low was Dexterity, which was 12.

I'm lvl 9, I think. Have done some minor stuff in Lower Ward (like picked up Morte). Annah has gained three lvls, Dak'kon and Morte one. I think it's here you REALLY start collecting experiencepoints.
Übereil
PS for the record: I've allso done Sebastian's quest, the callenge (told the whatever-their-names-are that the Abiskis is impossible to kill without weponds), and the union of the guard and Kathrine. Will probably clean the rest of te Lower Ward tomorrow (I can allso boost with the fact that I'm a mage with THREE in edgeprofidency ) DS

MysterD, curious why did you go so high in strength and leave wisdom at 18? Was there an over all plan to doing this?

Sounds good Ubereil. Do you think mage is a good way to go?
I've never tried it as a mage, so fill me in on the details as far as being a mage is concerned.
Poor me. I'm still wandering around the Hive. My schedule has not allowed me much time for play lately though. I'm still tagging along though, so don't give up on me. I'll make it eventually.

Shantara I wanted high wisdom and high strength. I wanted to be more of a brute, this time around.

I don't know, but since ALL of you speak of wis, int and cha as the most important stats, a mage feels natural since those are the main stats for mages as well (while a good fighter needs a nice str, a thief needs dex etc). The benefit is (of chorse) the spells (I havn't gone further than lvl 6, but there I got this thing called "Chain Lightning Storm", and it does massivwe dmg to every opponent in sight. Before that there's mostly single-target spells, like Ax of Torment...), the drawback is the fact that the only weponds you can use is edge... Other than that I think it's pretty much the same... Oh, and when you've finnished the unbroken cirkle of Zerthimon, you'll get Dak'kon's stats uppgraded and a whole lot of XP... And you can reciev training by Ingus and get a whole lot of XP...

Thanks Ubereil.
Sounds good. I am thinking seriously about trying a mage this time too that is why I asked. I guess if everybody else can do it then maybe I can stumble my way through being a mage too.
What alignment are you?
As for why we talk so much about Wisdome and Intelligence, wisdom adds to your xp and makes you level faster. having a high wisdom also helps you to regain memories faster and opens up more dialogue options. Intelligence is good for mages too, but it also plays a big part in how you can handle situations. Sometimes you can think your way out of situations instead of having to fight. Both along with high Chrisma can help you get bonus stats too.

Elliot, you said you were playing a mage through. Have you found much difference in the game?

Wis adds to dialog too, I think. Int is VERY important to mages since it decides how many spells you can have (no limit at 19, I think...). If you whant to be a mage, you should seek out Mebbeth pretty quickly. Or maybe you should try and get TWO lvl ups as a fighter (for the hp).
