Shantara...
I try not to set off any alarms at all, so I run away from any Dustmen to ensure I don't have to speak with them. Killing them all isn't worth much EXP, and there is one zombie specifically that seems to stay mad even when everyone else is reset - and it's the worst one.
Spoiler : Xachariah. Worth talking to after a visit with Stale Mary...
Also, there are definite advantages to being LG in this game, and I don't think wanton slaughter helps much Elliot, I'm just a little confused. I have never had the Dustmen in the mortuary get mad and try to attack me. I don't know if I am missing something or not, but when they have called for me to stop, I've always stopped and talked to them and then they just go on and leave me alone. Do you think I am missing something in the game that I should be doing? I guess what is so confusing is that you and Fafnir have said that you had to run from them to keep from having to kill them, and they've never even attacked me. Any ideas? I've never been lawfull good in this game... I'm neutral good for the momnet, and will probably stay that whay for ever and ever and ever and ever and ever... And ever and ever and ever.
A question: Just met up with Dheionnara for the first time, and got raise death... When do you get the Tale from beyondthing again? Is it from Stale Mary? (The great thing with not playing it for a while is that you don't remember everything .)
Übereil I've never played a lawful good character in the game either. I think I may try it this time if I can do things right. I've always been either neutral or neutral good. I've never been able to swing to the lawful side. I think so Ubereil. Stale Mary teaches you to Speak with the Dead (Stories Bone Tell, I think it is called). If this is the skill you are talking about then you will get it from Stale Mary. OK.
If you say the wrong thing (which automatticly happens if you're not wise or smart enough...) they will attack you. I ran from them for other reasons though...
For the moment I'm a lvl 4 mage with 9 str & con, 13 dex 15 cha (+2 tatoo ), 15 int (I think...) and 21 wis (allso a +2 tatoo). I've cleared out all of the hive xept radpicker square (not much to do here though...) and the alley of broken angels (or whatever it's name is...). For the moment I'm doing the teachings of Zertimon. Got to lvl 6, then I didn't get anymore cirkles... I think I'll get more cirkles if I ask him againg though... No, getting further seems impossible... Strange, since I recall haveing more spells than I got from him (I don't have all of his spells, and there's supposed to be a lvl 1 magi, don't know the name of it, but it's a blue arrow, and it looks comepletely useless if you sees it for the first time, but it's supposed to get better the more you use it...).

I’m bowing out of PS:T.
I never got any further than just outside the mortuary in previous plays.
This time; however, I have cleared the entire upper map in Sigil, and I have talked to too many people to count.
I know now this is not a game for me.
I love BGII with an ultimate passion, and I have played it over, and over again many times, but I can’t stand PS:T.
Sorry all PS:T way to boring for me.

I'm in player's maze! How the f*ck did I end up here??? I've done nothing I havn't done before! Shure, I joined up with Aloskar (or whatever their name is...) but I've done that before, and this never happened! I allso saw the Lady of Pain for the first time, but that's less important...

Use a walkthrough for the answer.
They never give you a good enough clue to figure it out. The clue you’re given is like one of those Lateral Thinking Riddles here on the forum, basically, no clue at all.

Offending the Lady gives you a chance of ending up in the maze. But it's only a chance, so it won't certainly be triggered. Joining Aoskar or getting a really high body count are two ways to do it - there may be others I don't know. I wouldn't worry about it, though. It's not that hard to escape, and you can find some cool stuff in there.
For the Unbroken Circle you need a higher INT score as it works purely off that. 18 or 19, I think. There MAY be a level requirement too, although I'm not sure of that.
In the Mortuary - Shantara you are obviously doing something right that I never did They always wanted to kill me, regardless of my character's INT or WIS score. Maybe I just chose the wrong option...
There is SO much to this game - I'm still discovering new stuff now
Fafnir - sorry to hear PS:T really isn't your kind of game Thanks again for all your help - I love PS:T, and you made it even better for me

Übereil Elliot answered your question Ubereil about how you ended up there. Sorry, but I couldn't help but smile when I saw your post. I ended up there fairly early in my first game, but it took a good bit longer in my second game. I loved that maze. It was so much fun and trying to figure it out was even more fun for me. When I found the Nameless One's old journal, that is when I found out how to get out. You can do it too and you can do it without a walkthrough. If you have any questions just ask and Elliot or I will try to help you out. Shantara

I am sorry that Planescape was such a bust for you.
I know every game is not for everybody and Planescape is evidently not for you.
I have heard that you either love it or hate it. Guess we fit into this perfectily. I love it. You hate it.
To me it is still one of the most awesome games I have ever played.

Elliot In the Mortuary - Shantara you are obviously doing something right that I never did They always wanted to kill me, regardless of my character's INT or WIS score. Maybe I just chose the wrong option... Or maybe I just got lucky with the options that I chose. I have only play the game twice (this is the third time) and both times before they never attacked. In fact the guy, Soego, even unlocked the front door to let me out. I've got the game reinstalled with all of the patches now and it is working OK. I don't know what happened the last time, but I am finally ready to wake up as the Nameless One and meet Morte. Hooray, at last.

I knew you could do it. Useless journal, it really depends on how you look at it. Even though it gives no information itself just finding a journal that had once belonged to another incarnation of the Nameless One was cool to me. I admit there wasn't much to be found there since you couldn't use the sledgehammer, but I could the two times before that I played. I'm not sure how I am going to play it this time yet, so I don't know if I will be able to use it or not. Shantara

Elliot and Ubereil, here is why the Dustmen never attacked me in the Mortuary.
When they called for me to stop, I would stop and wait for them to start the converstation. They always asked me if I was lost and I would answer No. (made perfect sense to me because I had been there many times befor in the past)
The Dustmen would then say "If you are not lost, what is your business here?" I always said: 'I'm here to see someone.
They would then ask: "Who are you here to see?" I would answer: "I am here to see Dhall. (reason, because he had told me that he had kept my secret from the other Dustmen).
They would then tell me where Dhall was and I would thank them and be on my way. They never attacked they just let me go. I did this with every Dustman that I met on the third floor and never had to run from any of them
Just thought you might be interested in knowing since you said you had always run from them because they attacked you.

Übereil Don't worry about the names Ubereil. I know who you are talking about. Sound like you are doing good. Good luck with Pharod and in the catacombs (and you got it right. that is what they're called). Yeah, it wasn't a bad sledgehammer. I have finally gotten started playing and am exploring the Mortuary (on third floor right now). Shantara

You might whant to know:
I'm down in the catacombs now. I entered a crypt called the Crypt of Dismemberment. It's trapped, but in the very end there is some kind of altar (or coffin or whatever). To the left of it there is a stairway (or a down entrance), and when you're entered it you'll find a room. It that room thee is a chorpse that happens to carry your arm... On that arm there are tatoos. Since I'm still in the atacombs I don't know of they're good, but you might whant to know anywhay...
I've got 18 int now, and I've finnished the unbroken cirkle of Zerthimon (and got Dak'kon upgraded to 18 str, con and dex . I didn't get reighn of anger (a better verision of magic missile, Dak'kon has it) though ). I'm lvl 7 btw... And I can't whait til I find ax of torment. I think I'm supposed to find it around here, maybe in my journal... (You know, the biig room containing my journal.) Have allso got my first lvl 4 slot. Have got no spells to put there though.

Elliot, found out there are two options you can follow. Instead of just using the 'No' option, you can also use the 'No, but I'd like to ask some questions' option. Either will let you get through without being attacked.
Did you know that you can get Vaxis to give you all of his possessions? I didn't until this time through.

Ubereil, take the arm to Fell at the Tatoo Parlor and ask him about it.
And you are on the right track for the Axe of Torment.
Sounds like you are doing pretty good. I'm still working my way through the Mortuary. I've been saving before talking to anyone and using different dialogue options just to see what happens, to see if I can trigger anything else. I hope to finish that area today and start on the Hive.
