Elliot, I decided to try a mage this time, but I am thinking that it is a big mistake.
When Nameless One levels he only gets 1 hit point and never gets a point to increase his stats. I am still sitting at the stats I built him with at level 5 mage. Is this the way it is suppose to be with a mage? Are they suppose to keep the stats you built them with the whole game? My fighter always got a point to add to his stats and more than 1 hit point.
Fafnir, Ubereil, MysterD if you guys can shed any light on this I would appreciate it. I am getting very frustrated.

When you multi-class you have to get above the level of your previous class in order to start improve (thieving skills and spell slots not included). If you were lvl 5 fighter you have to become lvl 6 mage in order to get more hitpoints and stat points (don't despair, you got statpoints and even more hitpoints with your fighter, right ?). I wondered about this too in the beginning, but I think my brother explained it to me. I don't know the exact details, but you will start gaining hitpoints eventually. (Expect after lvl 10, when you will only reciev one hp/lvl. The good thing is you won't have to reload every time you don't get max hp, since you'll get the same hp every level.)

That's just it Ubereil. I had not leveled him up as a fighter. I have only leveled him as a mage that is why I am asking. He is level 5 now and I have not gotten one single point to add to his stats. Do you remember at what level you got your first stat point to be added? Level 5 and still with the stats that you wake up on the slab with just seem strange.

You didn't lelev him up as a fighter? That's a bit odd since you'll get enought experience from 1) leaving the mortuary 2) doing all the quests required to get Mebbeth to train you to level up once as a fighter...

Übereil No, I could have leveled him up as a fighter in the Mortuary. He had enough points to level, but since I wanted him to be a mage I decided to wait until I had gotten mage before leveling him. Now we seem to be stuck with receiving 1 hit point each time he levels and no stat point. Can you tell me what hit point increase he should get as a mage? I know from my previous games as a fighter the max he could get was 10. Is one all that a mage gets at level up? My biggest concern is his stats. I am getting nothing to increase them with and I thought a mage got stat increases too. Am I wrong? Shantara

He got the EXP as a fighter, so would level as a fighter, even after you changed class
Worry about it if you hit 6th and don't get the point

It's the classical D&D rules when it comes to HP. Fighterclasses 10 (xept barbarians 12, but that's not relevant here), priests 8 (interesting for Grace), thieves 6 and mages 4. Half if you've multiclassed, but your main char can't multiclass, so it's only relevant for NPC's like Dak'kon and Annah.

Übereil There is a glitch in the game that you can take advantage of if you want to multiclass into a Fighter/Mage or a Theif/Mage. See quote below: Making the Nameless One into a Fighter/Mage or Thief/Mage: ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ Hello I've got a brilliant bug for you how to make The Nameless One a multi-class Fighter/Mage or Thief/Mage. First you have to be either a Fighter or Thief with a spell caster in your party (Dak'kon, Fall-From-Grace or Ignus), then select one of them then bring up the "Quick Bar" (by right-clicking). Select spells then select the entire party (Note: must do this while "Quick Bar" is still on screen), and you should have the Nameless One's spells. (from Christopher Leigh Dodd)
Note: You MUST be trained as a mage. Also you can still memorize spells if you are a different class. (i.e. sleep)
From Aaron Denney: I did get this to work, but he left out a step: Select caster, bring up quick bar, select spells, select entire party, _then select spells again_. The button will be gray, but it will work.

Übereil Sorry, Ubereil, I got sick and never did say thank you for posting this. I've never played D&D so I did not know this. This was really a helpful piece of info for me. Now some stuff hit point stuff makes sense. Thanks again. Worry about it if you hit 6th and don't get the point Thanks Elliot. I've got a glitch in the game somewhere. He still isn't getting any a point to add to his stats at level up. Looks like my only solution is to uninstall, clean the registry, and reinstall and try again. I understand what you are talking about though. I had forgotten that he did have some fighter class levels without me leveling him up. He is level 7 now and still no stat point, so I know for sure there has got to be a problem somewhere. Shantara

Hey, everybody where are you at in the game and how is Nameless One doing? I'd really like to know if you don't mind telling.
Also has anybody discovered anything knew this time through?

I got distracted by another game part way through, but I'll get back to it soon
I did discover one new thing. With sufficiently high CHA, Stale Mary can be persuaded to get Nameless in to see the Silent King, which gives you a quick route to making friends with The Dead Nations.
Oh, the advantages of Charisma

Elliot_Kane You got it and that's right Elliot. I had no problems at all. I started out and currently still have a CHA of 16. Stale Mary was super cool to me. Fafnir

I allso decided to become the Silent King. After that: silence... Then I had to reboot the game, since it wasn't answering...

Übereil That's one way to finish the game. After all, you can't ever leave the throne once you've sat on it. Not sure it exactly counts as a win, mind

CHA also affects the dialogue of the girls in the brothel - or Kesai at least. It also affects your choices when you first talk to Grace.
Beyond that - I am still discovering I never really gave CHA a huge priority, before...
