I allso decided to become the Silent King. After that: silence... Then I had to reboot the game, since it wasn't answering...
A lot of people assume this is intentional, sort of a joke by the developers, but it's actually a bug. It's fixed by the Fix Pack.
After you agree to become the new Silent King you see TNO walk to the throne and then you see him sitting in it. Then you get one of those messages about you being incapacitated or whatever, and the game ends.
