Intel has tried to optimise everything for numerical calculations (office applications / internet related application)... not thinking... that 70% of the applications that gets used on computers today, has NOTHING to do with that...

Most people run more graphics applications...
more GAMES
more applications using floating point calculations...

And yea, AMD had good vision when they started looking into bottle necks, and how to get rid of them.
