talk about the number 3200, it's not model number per se. it's some kind of ambiguous number system that confuses a lot of people about progression of RAM technology.

SDRAM
PC66 - 66MHz
PC100 - 100MHz
PC133 - 133MHz

DDR-RAM
PC2100 - 133MHz X2
PC2700 - 166MHz X2
PC3200 - 200MHz X2

any correlation between the numbers & the frequency for DDR? well for DDR, the numbers attached to the 'PC' are actually memory bandwidth. so PC3200 is actually DDR400 with 200MHz clock speed & the data bus of 64 bits & 3.2GB/s. Proof
