As for DVD recorder I have a DVD writer in my old pc (No dual layer tough)
Yeah I rather have a better GPU but it's a strain on my budget. hopefully The prices drop so there might be a better upgrade in it. ( I will ordder it at the fourth of feb because then my exams are finished)
To start I'll not use raid, once my system had enough drives I'll migrate towards a 4 disk RAID 5 configuration. The other 4 drives will be in JBOD "config" .
I'll hear how loud it is and then I might buy some zalman coolers.
There is a Linux distro that is 64-bit optimised. And windows XP 64 bit should be released in Q1 of this year(that means prolly Q2). I agree there isn't that much 64bit optimised programs out there but if the drivers are 64 bit and the OS is 64 -bit will get you a long way. But it's only a matter of time before the 64 bit revolution takes place. It would be nice if mircosoft released it 64 bit OS cheaper then it's 32 bit OS to stimulate 64 bit development. But for some reason I don't think thats going to happen.
