I bought morrowind the elder scrolls and i find 1st perspective incredubly daunting....

I didnt like the graphics too much but the sense of being in this other place and the atsmophere really did have a big impact on me.
The world is awesome. Too bad the inhabitants of the world, the AI is not as interesting as Gothic's. They all pretty much are walking-talking encyclopedias that say the same lines as each other even if you're in a different region of the land.
Though, no RPG's atmosphere yet is as lively as Gothic's really -- since all AI runs on a schedule to do stuff like eat, hang out w/ NPC's, chat w/ other NPC's, etc etc.

I'd highly recommend you going through it again and giving it a chance.
