OK, I can put this pipe dream of running the game to rest now I think.
Not only is it XP only, it's also Geforce FX unfriendly...
Here's a snippet from the offical forum!
'All GeForce FX series (5200-5950) cards run this game like crap. FPS is lower than 10 even with everything on lowest settings. If you are going to get Oblivion and have GeForce FX series card you have to buy new GFX-card to run this game playable. No driver update will make this game playable because GeForce FX series hardware SM 2.0 implementation is poor and slow.'
