It wasnt frensh-fries originally served at the Moon Lake Lodge, but rahter patatoe wedges and roasted poratoe.. The rest of of the story is true... the chef got upset and cut them so thin and over-fried them, claiming that he will make the potatoe so crisp (which is what the customer complained they werent) that they will be uneatable....
He was astounded when the client ordered more after that, claiming its the best thing he ever tasted...
(that story is writen on the back of "kettle fried chips" and also flanagans....
