Egin, you can download the Anarchy online client on their website, and create an account without giving any credit card info. It's free until you decide to get an expansion pack, so you only get the basic stuff. To play EQ2's free week you need to buy the game, while you can just get the basic client for free on AO's website.
They have their tricks. Anarchy online is the game made in 2001. I would say old crap. The trick is to lure you into AO's community, then you will go after better quality and eventually start spending bucks.
EQ is more simple, I had experienced Mythic's campaign on me lately with free weeks of gameplay (Mythic ent. developer of DAOC). Come, register, then it will be harder to drop than to stay.
