On average i presume the game would be the same size as DD (about 100 hrs of play), or maybe a little bigger, i dont think we should expect something 3x as large as Baldurs gate. I agree with having a little more things out in the middle of nowhere... you tend to feel good when you saved the farmers who got trapped in the house by orc raiders.
i think about 2 or 3 town areas, similar to DD, having too much not only makes quests more difficult to balance. But yea at least the size of DD....
