My Comments
--------------
Wow....Tribes got PC Best Story. This sure was a good year for Tribes -- 2 awards from IGN; I hope this helps boosts Tribes's sales. I really did like the idea Tribes: V had for switching viewpoints on the story and whatnot -- that rocks. Irrational rules. Only two other games to get more than 2 awards or more this year for PC was Rome: TW & HL2 from IGN; Rome got 2, HL2 got 3 awards.

I'm STILL surprised Vampire didn't get best story, honestly -- especially from all the reviews I read where many said the story was fantastic.

Even some of the runner-ups were like "wow" or pretty good in the lists:
Total War: Rome was Runner-up for PC GOTY.
Far Cry was Runner-up for PC FPS.
HL2 was Runner-up for PC Best Story.
Doom 3 and Far Cry were the Runner-ups for Best Graphics.
Hitman: Contracts was Runner-up for Best Soundtrack.

What a PC Gaming Awards List this year! Now THIS list could've been put on TV for Video Game Awards that could be taken SERIOUSLY, unlike Spike TV's show.

A lot of people did not like Sacred.
Too much hack & slash. Too easy.

And to be honest, i'm one of those people who didn't like Sacred <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

Rome Total War, deserved the awards, great game, and same for HL2. I don't know about the rest, cause i didn't play those.
All that's missing is a game from Larian Studios <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

Wasn't BD release this year in 2004?

If so, I figured BD might've got either runner-up to Vampire or beat out Vampire at at least some awards places.

There wasn't many RPG's released this year, since most are in the process of being made still.

Yeah, BD was released this year. But looking at the site of IGN, it seems that all categories got a runner-up except the categorie of best RPG <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ohh.gif" alt="" />

Granted I haven't played Vampire or BD, those looked like, to me, the two big RPG's of this year -- the two to duke it out for awards.

And at the very least, BD didn't even get PC runner-up??!?!? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />
