Another good Movie from France.
LES RIVIERES POURPRES
But only the first Part. The second part is not so bad, but in relationship with the first one... not really good.
In the first part i love the Scenes in the Mountains, and the intelligent Story. And Action was enough in too.
Really very good.

You all are so lucky to be able to see all of these movies.
Here in America we rarely ever get any foreign movies (foreign to America) in our theatres.
I'm going to cry.

Kyra_Ny, You must have a cinema with foreign movies in your neighbourhood, if not you should start one. A small independent theatre with one or two movies a week. (3.50/movie) .But make sure that you put in some of the Louis De Funés-movies! -La soupe aux choux (c'est juste n'est-ce-pas?) - La grande vadrouille (bien?) -Les gendarmes de Saint-Tropez (and all the sequels) and all the other ones I cannot remember from the look-a-like of my grandfather. -Another list of great movies - Gone with the wind _"Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn!" - Gandhi - Titanic - Troje (With hotties Brad and Orlando) - The 10 Commandements (with Charlton Heston) - Braveheart and The Patriot (both with Mel Gibson, not the Patriot with Steven Seagall) - Born on the 4th of July - Kill Bill 1&2 (grrrreat movies!!) - Schindler's List!!! etc..etc...etc...

galadriel No, none close to where I live. I would have to drive for several hours until I got to downtown LA (Los Angeles) to get to the closest one. To start one where I am, well, that's where my laziness kicks in. I just don't have the inner drive to do something like that. Kyra_Ny

Hmm 1 French movie will always stick in my mind, "Le Cercle Rouge" (The Red Circle) with Alain Delon, otherwise I agree with Gladriel Louis de Funes is just too good I think of him and I must smile

So I used to smile a lot when I was younger! (I still do though, but he's not here anymore )

Troje is the only Movie i like to see Brad Pitt. I found that he acts very Convincingly, the anger, the rage deep in Archill.
Once Upon a time in the West is very good.
And "Once upon a time in America" too.

I cried for a week everytime I thought about the ending of this movie it touched my heart that much. Same here Kyra. Very sensual really. Egin, do you know "Donnie Darko"? Yes, I know. the concept of Darko is close also. I'd like to see it one more time, there are parts of the movie I didn't understand, didn't feel. I don't like this topic since it reminds me how many movies I havn't seen which I should see. Übereil You are lucky you are yet to experience these great movies

dark chocolate means non-dairy, right? in that case, then i am one of the fans as well. i love bittersweet choc. *drools*
oops! where are my manners?
talk about Akira Kurosawa, i feel Rashomon & the Hidden Fortress are my 2 favourites, with Yojimbo & Sanjuro (both are stories of the same anti-hero) being my fav Toshiro Mifune films. & who can forget Ran? truly epic.
& as for international (as opposed to foreign) film, i love No Man's Land. it's funny, brutal, beautiful, tragic, harrowing; all in one film. Egin, a war film fan will not miss this one. & don't ever miss out Grave Of The Fireflies, my personal fav war film. my eyes water just thinking of that film.
Kyra & Egin, AI's last part reeks of Spielberg & though it's a nice touch, i think Kubrick would've made it darker & mind-boggling. i love Osment in that film. he's incredible!

I will definitely look for No Man's Land. Btw I remember seing one very good movie about uff I think NATO soldier in Serbia. I only remember he was helping one pregnet girl, her parents refused her as baby's dad was from opposing side. Baby was born but the mother was later brutally killed. That soldier finally escaped the war and kept a baby. I I could only remember the name of that movie. Grave of the fireflies. Mmm. To be honest I am not a big fan of anime, but, I will look after this particular animation. Thank you janggut

You are young you can't have seen a lot of movies. Anyway in a whole life, it is impossible to see all the movies, to read all the books and to play all the games. We have to make the good choices.
The only thing is that I have two guys in my class who seems to have seen all these movies. And I know it's impossible to see ALL the movies, read ALL the books and play ALL the games. So I'm not going to do that... And remember: [color:"red"] IT'S ALLWAYS BETTER TO POST IN AN ALLREADY EXTISTING THREAD THAN START A NEW ONE!!! [/color] Anyone seen this movie called El Salvador? About a journalist who rides to el Salvador with his best friend to write about the sivil war ging on there AND live the good life? It's acually quite good, you should see it. Übereil
