A modern movie that I loved was...
Le Pacte des loups
Also Known As: Brotherhood of the Wolf
I watched it subtitled in its original French form at the theatre and Wow was it an awesome movie!!! I later watched it dubbed in English at home, but the movie is very bad dubbed in English.
You lose out on all of the wonderful voice tones and passions expressed in its original French form watching it dubbed in English. I own the movie now on DVD and I only watch it in its Original French form. It is a wonderfully made move.

Did you see "Les parapluies de Cherbourg" in french ?
Barta Oui. Con subtitulos en Ingles. Such a movie wouldn't work if it were dubbed. @ Cleglaw The funny thing about this movie is : even the original version in french is dubbed. The main actors Catherine Deneuve and Nino Castelnuevo did not really sing they were dubbed. It is the same thing for the next musical movie of Jacques Demy : "Les demoiselles de Rochefort". The main actors did not sing except Gene Kelly of course. A modern movie that I loved was... Le Pacte des loups Also Known As: Brotherhood of the Wolf

I don't know why the american people are not good to make dubbed versions of movies. In France the dubbed versions of movies are quite good. The movies and TV series are dubbed by good french actors and the text is said in the way to fit correctly to the movement of the lips of the original actor. Actually some french directors prefer to create their movies in an original english version instead of a french version because they want to sell the movies to the english speaking countries. It is the case of Luc Besson with "The third element" and "Joan of Arc". Barta

My favorite movies would be those spaghetti westerns by Sergio Leone. My favorite chocolate bar's the Mars, though I do feel like I dont get much for my money (they're quite small) I don't know why the american people are not good to make dubbed versions of movies. Maybe it's because they lack practice? I mean, the french dub almost ALL american movies, but do the americans dub every french movie made? I dont think so.

Good........ Cos I like Dimebars, whats your favourite "everyday"chocolate bar?, know what I mean, Mars, Snickers and the like?? @ Spick Good question ! My favourite chocolate bar is "Kinder Bueno". I really like the milk chocolate, the crispy wafer and the tasty hazel nut cream inside the wafer. I am completely addict to it. If i begin to eat one bar, i continue to eat at least ten bars. Das Testament des Dr. Mabuse (The Last Will of Dr. Mabuse), Deutschland1933. Le testament du docteur Mabuse (simultane französische Version von Das Testament des Dr. Mabuse; co.d René Sti) Frankreich 1933 @ Stone I also enjoy a lot the Fritz Lang movies. I saw "Le testament du docteur Mabuse" in the french version. Very great movie. During the years 1930 and 1940, a lot of french movies were created in two versions by the same director. French and english versions or french and german versions. Sometimes with the same actors in the two languages and sometimes with different actors. Barta
