In actuality Eastershould be, and I believe once was, tied to the Jewish holiday of Passover. The last supper was a Passover Seder (ceremonial meal). The Hebrew calendaris a lunar one. However, the Christian church did not want to be tied to a Jewish tradition/holiday even though Christ celebrated it and therefore came up with a new way of figuring it.
