Microsoft provides Powerpoint Viewer (free, works like Acrobat Reader) for free on their site. just search for it.

Lady Rain, u're right when u said that christians are reputed to be narrow-minded, with emphasis on 'reputed'. i used to think catholic christians are like that till i found out other christians are like that as well. then i found out muslims (or moslems, if u like) are the same. later on other religions.

thing is; that's how religions work. your belief in it is so strong that u're convinced that this is the only way to salvation & u have to get others to be on the boat or they'll be damned.

like u i found out this isn't the way to live a good spiritual life. true, one needs to evangelise (spread the word, so to speak) but true conversion begins inside. the one who needs the most convincing will be ourselves. those who keep pushing their religion i nother people's face are those who may not be so secure about their own faith. as if they can convince u, they can convince themselves. not true faith, if u ask me. now i'm not a super christian to say this but i've seen enough in others as well as myself to know.

Jesus didn't shove people to believe him so other christians have no excuse to do so. Jesus didn't put people to death if they didn't believe him so other christians have no excuse to do so. christianity is about love & if u find those who so-called champion for Jesus & yet did the contradictory, don't blame Jesus. pity those myopic idiots for being astray.

That's not a bad idea Lews, but I wonder if it'll be useful at all? I'm hoping people won't be offended or intimidated if they find they're "out-numbered here".

Before you post the poll, lets make sure we cover enough religions:
  • Athiest
  • Buddhist
  • Catholic
  • Christian
  • Greek Orthodox
  • Jewish/Yiddish (are these different?)
  • Lutheran
  • Morman
  • Muslim
  • Pagan/Wickan (are these different?)
  • Voodoo
  • potatoe
    Any more ideas?

We may need to combine some similar religions as we're going to have too many for a poll.

Just some observations:
- Yiddish is not a religion;
- There are three "Christian" groups listed here (Catholic, Greek Orthodox, Lutheran) as well as the generic "Christian"... was that intended? There are Orthodox other than Greek, for instance, and many other protestant denominations (not to mention Anglican -- also called Episcopal, and Church of England -- which really wasn't part of the protestant reformation)
- Sikh
- Baha'i
- Hindu

Maybe just the major groups, without the sub-groups? And "other"? ... and "potatoe", of course!

I'm Athiest... with beliefs. I follow no greater or other-worldly entity, but I respect what presense and purpose they may have. If you had to label my beliefs, they'd lie between Buddhist, Pagan and Athiest.

'Humanist'

I believe in mankind and our ability to help ourselves. Hopefully we can overcome our differences that way. To me religion only serves to divide.

I'm an atheist who beliefs in "life after dead" and "live and let live" filosophy. But I'm very interested in Hindi, Bouddism and Jewish religions. There I said it!!

I'm with Womble... partly... I'm more sceptic.

Sadly enough mankind often doesn't uses it abilities to help themselves. Part of mankind rather uses it abilities to make it harder on another part of mankind.
And I don't think that will ever change.
But I do believe that there are some who mean well. And that mankind has the ability to change things for the better.
Religion is a human invention with the single purpose to devide, control and rule.

I believe in G_d, but my believe leans to G_d as an essence.
The only reason why we as humans have made G_d a being like ourselves is because we have not evolved enough to understand otherwise.
