the saying you are looking for is a biblical saying, "Why do you notice the splinter in your brother's eye, but do not perceive the wooden beam in your own?
" IIRC Luke 6:39 (or a verse very close to there).
Unfortunately it is easier to point a finger than to look into your own heart.... sad, but true...
All we can do, is either help raising funds or donating money/goods (like a lot of us are doing), other than that, we can only pray...
