So, what does everyone feel were their personal top 10 shooters on the PC? Throw your list for Top 10 PC Shooters that you've played this year out!

Personally, I've decided to turn my back towards FPS games for a while - maybe except those playing in the Star Wars universe.

I'm bored by "Action" nowadays, and want more and more games with story - especially adventures, or strategy like the Cultures or Seddlers.

So I won't vote.

No, no -- you can include FPS or TPS's. Camera perspective don't matter. We are talking about SHOOTERS.

And the reason I did this was B/c I wanted a SHOOTER-only thread.

Sorry, i get more satisfaction from labourously hacking monsters appart with a blunt kitchen knife (RPG) <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/evilgrin1.gif" alt="" />

and just to add some more motivation to my opinion... the first time that my whole screen "turn" in front of me, you have me getting severe motion sickness.... not a pretty sight.... Interestingly enough i dont get motionsickness for any real life experiences <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/question.gif" alt="" />

AS far as i have seen people play around me, i would say that HL2 is one of the best - pitty about the cop protection (havnt seen farcry yet - or dont remember seeing it)

Okies, here comes my list of shooters.

I'd like to write my nr. 1 - Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow, but it is not first person and it is more sneaker than shooter. But anyway I liked it best.
Then next of course Half-life 2.
nr. 3 - Riddick is very very promising, I just started it, I can say that regardless of lack of advertisement this seems to be top quality game (third person again).

nr. 4 - Doom 3 was more dissapointment than success, ID delayed it for too long. What I didn't like about Doom, it was too repetitive, by the end of the game the only thing I wanted to see in my life was sun and some green grass <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" /> instead of those Mars's industrial catacombs, reactors and processing plants. But still, best quality, textures, monsters ever made in any games. So, respect to ID. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/up.gif" alt="" />

Far Cry - I have written I didn't like it. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/down.gif" alt="" /> sorry DATD.

nr. 5 - Call of Duty: United Offencive was very nice, but maybe too short.

nr. 6 - I would add MOH Pacific Assault (I haven't played it yet, but I have it on my todo list). I am sure, it is one of the best.

nr. 7 - Rainbow Six 3 was a masterpiece.

nr. 8 - Halo

nr. 9 - UT 2004

nr. 10 - Thief 3.

nr. 11 Painkiller - great monsters. Good game for angry mood after work <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/evilgrin1.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devil.gif" alt="" />

No need to be sorry, mate. After all, we got different tastes, as I can see from your list: I only like 3 of the 10 games you mentioned so it's obvious we're different when it comes to shooters <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />.

1. Half Life 2
2. Thief 3
3. Chronicles of Riddick (short but sweet).

Uhm, yeah, thats it. All other shooters I played this year were boring and forgetable. Bring On STALKER and FEAR.

And Bioshock.

Do as many as you can, if you have played 10 or less.

Example: if you played 7, list all 7, in order from ya fav. to least fav. released in 2004.

The max you can list is 10. So if you played more than 10, say 12, then you'd have to pick the 10 best you played release in 2004.

Oooh...I can't wait til both of those!

Well, I played quite a few shooters but I find it worthy to list but one.
However Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy is also a terrific game.

Crimsonland (from Reflexive, i think & thanks to deathatthedoor for the recommendations). perspective? top-down third person action shooter.

Whereas I am normaly glad to help, I don't recall telling you anything about Crimsonland. In fact, I never heard of the game.
