And I do generally shutdown unessential programs when I know I am playing a game that requires all available resources, but thanks for the little hint on the enditall program one can never have too many helpful progs.
After shutting down all system tray progs I had 83% system resource available.

I think my downfall is definitely my video card(old geforce 32, game wants 64) and my P3, 600Mhz, where game wants P3, 800Mhz.

Sadness becomes more and more apparent as realization sets in that it will likely be a while before I will be able to enjoy this game as it meant to be played.
