I agree with you Gal' our little planet is changing rapidly at the moment. There has been a lot of recorded disasters lately, the planet is rotating slightly faster (over the last year, but it has only been openly announced after the tsunami), not much, but 1 thousanth of a second per day. This has never been recorded before.
If you draw a listing of the quakes recorded (just in SE asia in this example), it has increased 10 fold from previous years. (not all of the quakes are felt on land, but they are all still recorded, and most of them are above 4.0)
