If you draw a listing of the quakes recorded (just in SE asia in this example), it has increased 10 fold from previous years. (not all of the quakes are felt on land, but they are all still recorded, and most of them are above 4.0)
it is a classical phenomen called replicant (well in french at least)...
it is the case after all major earthquake...
the amplitude depends on the original quake amplitude...
it has none but really none relationship with the weather <resigh>
