Setting the scene......


Ok i have done almost all of the billoards quests apart from one...something about a warlock in outside terrortories.

Due to these quests i have become second in Rank but as we know you need to be no 1 to enter the temple.

Now i accepted Kiya's challange and went down the stairs into her crypt.
I killed a few monsters and had the short conversation with Kiya whereby she teleported and left. killed a few more monsters and used the teleporter pyramid. I just teleported away i didnt "drop and use" the pyramid. Then i saved the game...now when i walked back to enter the crypt..it was locked.

Now i fear i have broken the quest....have i?

Also if i have broken it...can i do the billboard quest (the one above which i havent done) and still gain entry to the temple if i complete it?

Or do i have to start all over....

Oh yes i have got the patch 1.47

Umm... do you have a recent savegame -- before using the pyramid? I don't think doing another billboard quest will help with this.... And I fear the bug that once let you lockpick into the temple has now been fixed...

The only other thing I can think of is using the Teleport anywhere by hex editing trick, if you are comfortable with that.

Rincewind: I was afriad you would say that...i dont fancy the hex editing thing so im guessing that i will have to start over....a pity but its the option i would prefer...i am not going to delete the game for a while in case somethng else turns up.

If no one has had this problem i think it would be best for peple to be aware of it.
We dont want people making the same mistake.

IIRC the west door of kiya's krypt could be lockpicked (i may be wrong - they may have fixed this). Normally this would be a bad thing to do (it could generate other problems).... but since you SHOULD be down there already.... it may just save your savegame....

Yeah...well i have tried that...no matter..... in a way it could be better becuase there were a few thngs i should have done before but now i hae the excuse to do it agian.

Another possible workaround would be to try the technique in the topic armory trick in act 1 to get a summoning doll through the wall, and then use it to enter and exit the BF, thus teleporting your main characters into Kiya's crypt.
