Larian Studios Forums Beyond Divinity (English) Help/Tips/Tricks leaving act III

Think I'm missing something. Have done everything I can in level III, including going down to the catacombs, only after poking around down there & then finding out I couldn't use the stairs to get out I used my teleporter-had the other one up top & left with no problem. Heard since that I had to not go there till I was all finished as there was no coming back???? Is that where I should have found my way out to act IV? I went there before giving the Ranaar the sword, is that why I didn't get further? I'm soooo confused. Any answers?

I was hoping that someone else would answer to your question because i did not understand everything !

Did you cured Elder Anlokam ?
Did you find the crystal fragment and solved the necromancer's last task ?

If yes you have the whole crystal and Elder Anlokam will teleport you to the Raanaar Academy.
You don't have to use the stairs to go out or to use the pyramid to finish the act 3.

I'm not sure I clearly understand, either... but if you mean the catacombs under the temple (you went down with the Black Bishop?), then I hope you have a save handy from before you teleported out!

The Raanaar sword is not an issue.

The catacombs under the temple have several levels -- IIRC, there are 5. Did you explore them all? On the 5th level, touching the "catacombs armour" that is lying on the floor triggers some action that will take you forward to the end of the Act.

Whoa, I is sooo confused. Is elder Anlokam the Raanar elder, if so he didn't say anything to me about needing to be cured. If not, who & where is this guy, I sure have missed him completely. I have no saves that go back before I entered the catacombs, but have discovered it is still possible to go down the stairs to the catacombs, you just can come back up. i hope I'm making sense to someone, not sure I am to me...thought I'd got a handle on how to be a RPGamer, am a real newbie, but it's tricky. Read about the Battlefield stuff for this act, am having problems there too, & all this about tossing teleporters into walls, etc.....duh! You folks are tricksy!! Glad there's someone to help a greenie like me.

At the beginning of the act 3, Asmodheus gave you a doll, this doll is Elder Anlokar.
She has to be cured to be a real Raanaar again.
Look at your inventory, how many dolls do you have ?

Did you meet Raan ?
Did she ask you her 3 symbols (symbol of war, symbol of honor and godly symbol).
I think that you have missed something in the catacombs but i don't know what !

If you are back in the catacombs, perhaps looking at these maps from GameBanshee's walkthrough will help you get oriented. If you scroll down the page, you will find descriptions of the numbered locations and some hints on how to proceed.

The maps linked to above are of the first two levels of the catacombs; if you find you are past this, then look at the menus running down the right side of the page. Under the Act III menu you can click on "Temple Catacombs 3" and the entries below that to see the rest of the levels.

Thank you, one & all. After taking a brief break for the flu (too many floogles) I got back & with your advice, got straightened out. Even had an old save game that allowed me to find out the armor I wanted wasn't in the chest I hadn't opened but on the floor on the next level!! Oh well, live & dash about. Think I should pay may last visit to the battlefields before going much further too. Bashing on........
