Will it work ?

A few days ago I fulfilled a long lasting dream for me : I bought a Voodoo 3 graphics card for 3 € because I always wanted to play some of the very earliest 3D games - those which were designed ONLY for 3dfx cards. I thought that 3 Euro would be cheap , so I bought it.

So, now my question : In theory, I supposed, it should work, having two graphics cards in one PC. But that's the theory. How does it actually work ?

I mean - what happens with the signal - will it be delivered only to the main graphics card ? How and where can I set up my Win98 system to my primary and secondary graphics cards ?

I often found games the option - sometimes a drop-down menu - that allows playing the game with a "primary display" and a "secondary display". So I thought, it could be possible to play a game with the one option or the other, respectively.

Is this true ? And how do I switch that ?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Besides : If this really works, then ... if someone has an old Voodoo 5 card ( I think this was their last generation) to give away, you can contact me.

Alrik.
