Anyone got a solution to this irriation...

When Shutdown is selected the PC takes 5 minutes to actually close everything and start to shutdown.

Then, it doesn't shutdown, it restarts itself instead!

The only way I found to shutdown is to not login on the restart, and then select shutdown from the login box.

It's a pain in the butt! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/memad.gif" alt="" />

There's some stuff in the task manager processes section that I don't recall ever seeing before:

cbrhr57.exe
cnrht45.exe

They CAN'T be closed - tells me they are being used, so can't close them.

Now, they AREN'T the right names of the processes, will have to go home to find them out, but they are very similar to those names, so that might spark recognition for someone.

My own suspicion is they are CD burner drivers - but I never installed any new burner software in over 2 years.

Die evil processes DIE!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/evilgrin1.gif" alt="" />

No spyware or anti-virus gunk has detected anything naughty!
