You can also kill the explorer process (even in task manager you can kill explorer) and then restart the process, that should restart it into a working state.

To start a new process from within taskmanager, you first have to make sure that explorer is killed in BOTH the application section and the process section. Then go to the application section and click on new task.... you can browse to c:\windows\explorer.exe

you can also check that they dont startup next time, by either disabling them in MS config / spybot and see if explorer still gives hassles without them loading in the first place....

you can also check what those files are for by searching their filenames on either http://startup.iamnotageek.com or at http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/startups/

These 2 places should be able to give you a full description of what those files are there for (if anything useful) and if they cause more damage than their worth.... based on that you can either keep them or kill them permanently.
