Hmmm i did some searching on contentwatch 2.0.....

That is not what caused the virus at all... (its just bad timing that you got it NOW, and hubby thinks its you)

Contentwatch is similar to net nanny.....

What i do suggest is that you install either avast (i remember sending that to you at some stage) or pc cillin on hubby's pc... Kapersky has a MAJOR flaw with allowing viruses through.... if you do a search on the name kapersky, you will find hundreds of documents and complaints about that....

System restore is VERY dangerous to use to get rid of a virus... most viruses now exploit system restore (they manage to write them into earlier restore points) to make sure you cant get rid of it... every time you restart the computer, it will "restore" itself automatically from your system restore files.... (they have a call in the registry that checks if they are deleted, and then restores it, BEFORE the system finishes booting and loads the anti-virus.

If you manage to remove the virus and it keeps on coming back when you re-boot, disable the system restore (just for 2 reboot's) until the when you reboot, the virus stays away (most of the time 2 reboots), after that you can re-enable the system restore, it will create new restore files without the virus in it.

I am trying to download the program now, so i can see how to uninstall it <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />
