Personally, I'd recommend an EE ( = "Energy Efficient" CPU), because it saves current -> money.

Plus a board that can be put into a "saving mode" or so.

Because these modern CPUs and Boards suck up quite a lot of current nowadays.

When you find a big kettle of crazy, it's best not to stir it.
